The Best Micro Fictions Awards have been just announced, and two of our own have been honored. Their work will appear in this years anthology. Blink-Ink nominee Shoshauna Shy for her story “The Anorexic’s Mother” and from The Mambo Academy of Kitty Wang we have Claire Polders for her story “Stella is”. Congratulations, we are completely thrilled!

Who is Jane Doe Zoom Reading

Coming we have something very special. January 23rd @ 2:30 pm EST there will be a reading by the authors included in “Jane Doe”, the insert from Kitty Wang that went our with our “Mercy” issue in December. Scheduled readers include Claire Polders, Nancy Stohlman, Jesse Coley, Meg Tuite, Sally Reno, and Francine Witte. So much talent here. Mercy Issue live

Our issue, “Mercy” has hit the mails. This is our 42nd issue since 2009 and we are very proud of it. The covers are provided by returning artist Clifford Thompson. The contribution authors are all strong writers. Names you know and names you may not, but all good. With this issue come another publication. It is “Jane Doe” from our sister press The Mambo Academy of Kitty Wang. We are very pleased to welcome Maiya Winter as our cover artist. A January 23rd Zoom reading for Jane Doe is planned, so please keep an eye out for that. Subscriptions are available, just in time for the holidays, Shortly we will reopen submissions with an all new theme, so please watch for that as well. Thanks Doug & Sally

Blink-Ink Receives Fantastic Review and more

We are ecstatic after reading a very recent review of issue #30, the “Diner” issue of Blink-Ink.

Kat Haas at NewPages was kind enough to say some nice things about Blink-Ink and the issue in general, but more importantly she wrote her take (and praise) of individual writers and their work. That’s a really classy thing to do. We wish to thank Katy, Nicole, and everyone else at NewPages for this great review, and more importantly for what they do every day to promote our  indie press / small press community.
