“Mercy, mercy, mercy me. Where did all the blue skies go? Poison is the wind that blow…” Mercy, mercy, me. Marvin Gaye Mercy will be the theme of Blink-Ink’s December issue. We are quite serious about this one. Humor or satire will certainly be considered, but it must be relevant. No poetry, attachments, or bios please “What we want, what we need, is civic grace and mercy.” Senator Cory Gardner
Mom’s mac and cheese with cocktail wieners or a favorite meal you like to make. Tasty fare or a hard slog through a dismally over-done Sunday dinner. Dining delights dreamed of when there is little to hand. What else can we “cooked up at home”, a plan, a scheme intertwined with adventure. Sure smells good, so tell us in fifty words or so what’s cooking be it real, imagined, or impossible. Submissions are open June 1st through July 15th. Send submissions in the body of an email to email@example.com No poetry, bios, or attachments please.
Our Road Trip issue mailed in time fora June 1st, 2020 delivery. We are very please with the issue, as the look and feel are great, only surpassed by the extraordinary writing from contributors around the world. This issue we had writers from New Zealand, Japan, Cyprus, Australia, and our usual/unusual collection of UK and Canadian friends. Included with the issue is “Whammy Bar”, an insert piece from Kitty Wang Press that chronicles Wolf Girl and her band Whammy Bar. a second Wolf Girl publication is scheduled for Spring of 2021. we will have guidelines for our next issue up shortly, and will post, or attempt to post, Road Trip photos.
First off, thank you one and all for the huge number of submissions we have received of our Road trip issue that closed on April 15th, 2020. Having so much of the world in quarantine and people staying home I am sure increased our numbers, but thanks also to Nicole and Katy at New Pages, the mighty Duothroopers, Cathy’s Comps and Calls in the UK, and our friends at Smokelong. This issue will hopefully mail out on June 1st, and come with a special secret insert piece. Contributors to the issue are a few old friends, and most excitingly so many writers who are new to us. We can not say thank you enough to all of the people who continue to support us, through submitting your work, subscribing, mentioning us on your social, sharing copies, and so much more.
